How to dry strawberry?

Dried strawberries are rich in fiber and are a natural snack food. Baixin strawberry dryer can be divided into multiple stages to dry fresh strawberries at low and medium temperatures so that the drying effect is best. Dried strawberries will not change any of its nutritional value. The scent of strawberry is preserved, and the taste is better.

Pick strawberries: Choose strawberries that are large in size, bright in color, free from damage and disease.

Wash the strawberries: Pour the strawberries into running clean water and wash them to remove debris and other debris. Using a strawberry washing machine is better and faster.

Blanching and cooking with sugar: Put the strawberry fruit in a 40% sugar solution, then heat it to a boil, keep it for 10 minutes. After cooling, take out the strawberry fruit. If you are making original dried strawberries, this step is not required.

Drying: Spread the strawberry fruit (strawberry slices or whole strawberry fruit) in a single layer on the material tray, and then put it in the drying room for dehydration. Strawberry drying has 3 stages. In the first stage, the temperature is 60℃ and the drying time is 2 hours. In the second stage, set a temperature of 75°C and a drying time of 10 hours. In the third stage, the temperature is set to 62℃ and the drying time is 6 hours, and the strawberry dehydration can be completed.

Different strawberry size will have different dehydration time, the thinner, the shorter the dehydration time. Dried strawberry slices will regain moisture when they are in direct contact with air, so they need to be sealed and packaged. If you use vacuum packaging, you can better preserve the color and aroma of the strawberry slices.
