How to dry carrot?

Dried carrots are rich in fiber and are a natural snack food. The Baixin carrot dryer can be divided into multiple stages to dry fresh carrots at low and medium temperatures so that the carrots can be dried better. Dried carrots will not change any of their nutritional value. The aroma of carrots is preserved, and the taste is better.

Wash the carrots and peel them. If the output is large, it is recommended to use a professional carrot washing and peeling machine.

Cut carrots into slices, thickness: 3~5mm. It is recommended to use a carrot slicer, the slice thickness can be adjusted and the slices are even.

Put the carrot slices on the tray, the thickness of the spread material is not higher than 4 cm. (If you use a large-volume continuous multi-layer mesh belt carrot dryer, automatic feeding can be realized.)

Put the carrots into the Baixin dryer, set the temperature to 60℃, and the relative humidity to 10%. The carrots will be dried after 4 to 8 hours. (If you use a large-volume continuous multi-layer mesh belt carrot dryer, the drying can be completed in 0.5-2 hours.)

Different carrot thicknesses will have different dehydration times. The thinner the carrot, the shorter the dehydration time. Dried carrot slices will regain moisture when in direct contact with air, so they need to be sealed and packaged. If you use vacuum packaging, you can better preserve the color and fragrance of carrot slices.
